We invite you to participate in the 6th Annual Northeast Florida Inshore Slayers Sheepshead Fishing Tournament hosted at The Palms Fish Camp and Restaurant on January 24th, 2026. (Yep, we're changing it up!)
**CAPTAIN'S MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT** (Not Mandatory but ALL are welcome - we may even have some prizes to give away!)
Southern Coast Seafood (1301-1 Monument Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225) - January 23rd, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm - this will be for anyone who needs to register in-person, wants to chat with fellow anglers on tournament strategy, and grab a great dinner.
Final online registration ends online at 5pm on 1/23/2026. In-person registration is at SoCo from 5pm to 7pm.
All anglers must follow all FWC guidelines and have the appropriate fishing license in the State of Florida.

*Fish weighed by junior anglers must be caught by the junior angler with minimal assistance from an adult if safety dictates help. Junior angler catch does NOT go towards the boat aggregate if on a boat - it is weighed separately. Junior anglers on a boat must pay the $25 junior fee to weigh-in.
Winners can only win ONE prize. If you place in multiple categories, your highest prize value place will be awarded.
Entry fees are as follows:
$60 per kayak/land-based angler
$120 per boat *TEAM WEIGH-IN up to 4 people per boat
$25 per junior angler (12 yrs or younger)
Over $5,000 GUARANTEED PAYOUTS in cash and prizes, based on 100 registrations. Exact payouts TBD by number of registrations.
Additional donations from our local community fishing sponsors will be available to WIN for all anglers participating in this tournament. Each angler who weighs in will get a ticket.
This is an inshore tournament so it’s limited to inshore waters only!!
Fishing starts at civil twilight (6:56am) on 1/24/2026.
Weigh-in starts at 1pm.
Weigh-in ends promptly at 4pm. If you're not in line at 4pm, you will not be allowed to weigh your fish. Time will be held by the Weigh Master’s phone satellite time.
Awards & prizes start approximately at 5pm.
Rules:
- Location: Inshore Florida waters ONLY. Do not fish more than 50 feet past the visible jetty rocks.
- Bait: Must adhere to FWC guidelines.
- All FWC size regulations must be followed. 12" minimum. You will be disqualified if you bring an undersized fish to the scales.
- No frozen or altered fish will be weighed. All hardware must be removed (no hooks, weights, stringers, etc.) Metal detector will be on-site if there is any question of alteration.
- Weight will NOT be rounded to ensure there are no ties. Scaled is certified by the State of Florida
Anglers may enter both the biggest fish and the aggregate categories. Anglers can only win once and will be based on the higher place ($) if they place in multiple categories.
All fish must be caught during tournament hours. All fish must be caught by hook, line, rod, and reel and must be caught by the angler who entered the Tournament.
All Entries must obey State of Florida Fishing and Boating Regulations, including size and bag limits. Violation of a State of Florida Fishing law or boating regulation will result in complete disqualification.
Fish entered into the tournament are the property of the angler NOT the tournament. If you choose to donate your catch to this group cookout and future cookouts, there will be coolers and ice on-site.
Tournament Committee is responsible for the final call in all matters. No protests will be accepted in this tournament unless ruled by the Tournament Committee. Tournament Rules are subject to change with proper, timely notice to all anglers.
By participating in this tournament and event, you accept all liability and risks associated with the activities of the Fishing Tournament, Awards Ceremony, and Cookout. You agree that all anglers registered, their personal representatives, heirs and executors, release and forever discharge all members of the tournament committee, all tournament sponsors, contributors, participants, producers, and their employees, agents, contractors, representatives, successors and assigns (the “Released Parties”) of all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses which you may have against the Released Parties for bodily injury, death, and/or property damage arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the tournament, including but not limited to, all risks, known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated without regard to whether they are inherent in participation in a fishing tournament. You understand that this release is an unconditional, full and general release, including a release of all claims arising out of the negligent acts or omission of any of the Released Parties. You hereby indemnify, hold harmless, and promise not to sue any of the organizations, companies, or individuals in charge of organizing and hosting this event.
